From resumes to online reputation curation

“Employers are screening for job candidates who have created a presence online. For many young people, that’s a chance to shine,” the Technology Review at MIT reports. The unemployment rate for 20-to-24-year-olds is 13.3%, and they’re getting creative about getting noticed by prospective employers. It sounds like creative doesn’t mean flashy, though. The article suggests that more and more job seekers in the growing information technology sector are spending time in online communities, which “employers are increasingly using … to find and vet candidates.”
